Afternoon my name is Petfreak from Florida. thank you for this website and the forum awesome help! We just have a very small flock but they are my girls love them like crazy and they are high egg producers so i keep the family stocked with eggs. Cant wait to ask questions!!!!

Unless it is gonna get below freezing where you live, you probably don't need a heat lamp at all. just give a thick bed of straw, hay or something of the like to nest down in. you could be like me, when it gets real cold at night, my two outside dogs have made themselves at home with the girls. they made there own entrance into the coop.
