I think lavander, splash and blues are becoming quite popular (orps),,there are lemon cuckoo's as well.

I've hooked up with a member here who's daughter does 4h with her orps and does really well, am hoping to meet up with him at the CT poultry show at Haddam Neck Fairgrounds on April 21 , hopefully he'll have some 'babies' ready to go at that time.

I'll send you his contact info, he's in mansfield , he may be able to supply you with some variety..

Welcome to BYC from California wine country in the Western Sierra Foothills!

I just hatched some Lemon Cuckcoo Orpington chicks from eggs I purchased from a California BYCer and breeder of manty different breeds. (Also got some Spexkled Sussex from him.). The LC Orps appear to be something many folks want; I was pleased to get them and have them hatch.

I already have some Buff and Blue Orps - just love those big fluffy bottomed ladies! Barred Rocks are the friendliest birds in my flock. Both breeds are tried and true dual purpose birds for the backyard chicken keeper, good choices for a business in the world of chickens!

:)
