Hello all,
We are new to Back Yard Chickens and really love all the info. We live in Southern Delaware and are going to start a new flock soon. Just getting our property ready for them.
Glad we found the site and look forward to learning as much as we can.
I grew up on a farm and used to have several chickens, but have been away for quite a while.

I don't think that tv tray is strong enough to hold that Pug.

I love Pugs.

Thanks for all the "welcomes".

LOL, that is our Monkey. Yes, that is his name and it fits. All of our Pugs are rescues and we have 3 seniors. Monkey was 31 lbs when he was surrendered and he is now down to 19lbs. He loves to lay on the tv tray and the couch arm.

Here he is in grandma's bag.

Thanks.

We are trying to get our coop up and running. We have 10 acres and it is all woods other then the footprint of the house and some yard. We have been getting rid of some dead trees and doing some very needed pruning on the other trees. It has opened up quite a bit and we have a very nice size area to build the coop and a run for them.
Our main concern is safety. We have several Coopers hawks and Red Shoulders that live in our woods. So we will have to make sure the coop and run are completely built, and secure, before adding any chickens.
