Hi, my family (husband and 2 kids, ages 9 & 10) are trying our hand at keeping chickens. We've had our ups and downs, and backyard chickens has been a wealth of knowledge. We have a fairly small coop, and being new at this we tried 9 chickens and 6 guinea keets. We are having a blast! We are constantly laughing at their antics, the kids love watching them run after bugs, I love how they follow me around every evening waiting for me to toss them Japanese beetles. We all laugh at how they come running at the sound of my husbands voice.
Thank you for having such a great place for chicken fans everywhere to share stories, knowledge, and encouragement, it's nice to have such a great support system.
