Hello and welcome to BYC!

We have had a wrench in plans!
My hubby didn't build the coop yet and wanted more time. The feed mill where we are getting the chicks has different breeds arriving at different times.
I ended up ordering two Ameraucaunas, 2 light brahmas, and one black jersey giant.
I hope I made good choices!

Thank you all for your replies! Excited and nervous to enter the chicken-world!

Those are all docile breeds and good layers. Most likely your Ameraucana will actually be an Easter Egger as opposed to a true Ameraucana (a certainty if you ordered them from a hatchery or feed store which sometimes incorrectly market EEs as Ameraucanas), but Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite chickens. She loves their colored eggs. Good luck with your flock.

I am very happy to hear that they're all docile breeds! Can you tell I'm really nervous and excited?!
