Hello from Missoula! I have been interested in having chickens for years. I found BYC on Pinterest as I was looking for Coop ideas. I'm still renting, so I'd like to have something that I can take with me. I have a decent-sized back yard, and I'm thinking about waiting until next Spring to get chicks. I want to build a coop that I can clean easily and possibly move once I buy a house. I'm on here for now to learn more about chickens and coops.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Living in Montana, be sure when you get your chicks to get cold hardy breeds. Alaska Backyard Chickens has a list of recommended breeds for Alaska at http://akchickens.org/getting-started/recommended-breeds/. If they can take Alaska's winters, they should do fine in Missoula as well. Definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there that will keep you from making beginners' mistakes. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your chicks next spring.
