Recently moved to Buffalo Tx and as soon as I get my foot healed up I'll be revamping and getting my Aunts old chicken coupe fired up. I'm so looking forward to "real" eggs like I grew up with. Don't reall know how many chickens ill start with, but I'm excited non the less. I'll definitely have to check with the experts here on breed, type... whatever I'll need to get started.
Does anyone in my area know where I can buy some "real" eggs in my area in the meantime?
Thank you all in advance for your patience, understanding and help!

Hope your leg will be healed soon. I was afraid a rooster spurred you. We hear a lot of that on here. Glad you joined the Backyard chickens flock.

Thank you for the warm welcome!
Nope... haven't been spurred since I was a youngster. Then probably not so much a true "spurting" as it was this honesty old chicken running out from under the house and jumping on me and flapping and fussing like crazy. Scared the bejeebers out of me.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I also am not sure where to find eggs in your area. Definitely check out the link provided by NorthFLChick. You might also try just googling areas near you to find eggs. Oh, and here is another good link as well https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/67/buy-sell-trade

Good luck to you and welcome!
