Good morning!
I have wanted chickens ever since I was a little girl when I went to visit my first farm outside of town. The kids are grown and we have moved from suburbia to five acres of woods in the foothills of the Blue Ridge. The house came with a section of fenced off (6 foot wooden) yard that included a cat house for the previous owners' felines. We have been remodeling the structure for chickens and are looking forward to getting a couple of hens soon. Thank you for all of the great advice that is posted here and elsewhere!
