Hi I'm new at all this and I have found this site very helpful in all areas...I do have one major concern n can't find the answers so I'm hoping u guys can help...I have a white leg horn which I was told was a hen well we thought she was going after the other hens but then she started crowing...so I believe she is in fact a he (rooster)...we built our coop with a ramp so they can go in and out n all of them do fine accept this rooster...he waddles all the time n won't go up the ramp, so we help him get in at nite n put food n water outside during the day for him..he gets out just fine just not back in...so I have some pics to share of the way his feathers are n pics of his legs...hope someone can help

Welcome to BYC!

That appears to be a Cornish x rooster. They can easily develop bumblefoot, leg sores, and they weigh so much they have trouble walking. They rarely live past 1 year if not given special care when young.

Could you post a picture of him?

Yes I tried uploading 2 pictures of him...I'm just concerned n don't want to see him suffering so I help him all I can. My daughter actually goes and picks berries just for him too :)

Do you have any other roosters? The marks on that ones wings look like those of an over-bred hen. She shape doesn't seem right for a leghorn. Perhaps it is a White Rock.

When we bought them we bought 12 altogether..all were suppose to be sexed, all hens. We got 2 buff orphingtons 2 white leghorns n 8 Rhode Island reds. Unfortunately we had to put down 1 leghorn that got really sick n didn't want to infect the others...this is the only one acting like a rooster by crowing....the others are just starting to lay eggs...I was trying to get a pic of underneath him cuz his bottom is like that also
