Hello! We were going to wait a year to get chickens, and then my son's class both hatched and bought some, and no one else wanted them, so we decided to jump into it this year. I need help identifying breeds and gender if possible. Any ideas on the following? Six birds total... A mix of photos. Thank you!!

I agree with black_cat, too. They are early to sex, but the Easter egger is very likely a female. Both of the Orpingtons are looking girly, too. Really the only one that is looking like it is probably male is the darker red chick.

Actually, both the red ones are looking a little suspicious for boys. But hopefully I am wrong on that.

5-6 weeks I believe. The black one is about a week younger than the others.
They are all really adorable! I've never had Rhode Island Reds, but I had Buff Orpingtons, and I have 4 Australorps. BO's are one of the friendliest breeds I know! Rose, one of my fluffy yellow girls was the sweetest ever! She would either jump in my lap, whenever I knelt down on the ground or stick her head on it, expecting to be petted! She would also follow me around the yard. It was so cute! Good luck on your new flock!
