New to chickens 2020

So I live north of Atlanta & have many around me that raise chickens. They convinced me that it’s not hard & very rewarding. So I researched breeds that have calmer temperaments/kid friendly, good layers, & quiet (since I live close to people & businesses). Early July, I received a buff Orpington, 2 RIR, welsummer, golden laced Wyandotte, & a black Australorp. I am having so much fun.

I hope to learn so much from the site & share my experiences as well.
