New to chickens and BYC

Hi everyone!
I have been reading BYC for a while (and soaking up all the great information here - thank you!), but have only signed up recently.
We are first time chicken owners and currently have two Japanese Bantams and a dozen 'loan chickens'. Our neighbours put some eggs in the incubator and a couple of weeks later dropped off a broody hen, 11 chicks and their coop at our place. The chicks are now about 7 weeks old and our little daughter has had a blast watching them grow!
We will be keeping 4 of the chicks, while momma hen and the others will go back to the neighbours to join their flock.
I was hoping to get some help sexing the chicks, so I'll open up a thread in the 'gender and breed' forum shortly - once I have figured out how to post fotos, that is ;-)
Anyway, glad to be here and thank you again for all the great info you guys provide for a newbie like me!

Not a bad deal if you get 4 chicks but, out of 11, I'm thinking you should have gotten 5.
You had to watch over them.

Looks like you might have to wait a bit longer for those chick fotos, sorry!
I tried posting, and the preview looks fine, but when I submit the post, I keep getting error messages ('invalid editor' or something along these lines). Patience, please! I'll keep trying!
