It's taking me awhile to figure out how to post on this site but here goes ...
I've been think about chickens for about a month along with composting and becoming a vegetarian. Lot's to think about....
So far so good....
After reading the BYC site I became inspired to repurpose an unused play structure.
First the chicks:

Next the unused play structure:
My friend Dale is helping me to convert it into a fab chicken coop:
Chicks are getting bigger...and busier...
Hurry Dale....
windows off craigslist for $27 ea. great find!
Lots of good ideas regarding nesting boxes, feeders, waterers, cleaning etc...I love BYC!
Fun to reuse the parts of the play structure...monkey bars became the ladder to the coop!
Spent the weekend painting what was finished.
Working on the nesting boxes next and the pen....
