The pullet shut door is working great. I did have to reset it this morning though because my girls are missing the last call before the door shuts for the night. I think because dusk is coming later now than when I programmed it a few weeks back. I think once I program it to close an hour later they will once again be tucking themselves in for bed. I have an automatic doggie door too for my little yorkies so it seemed to only make sense to get one for the chickens too. My hubby insisted on the solar panel that goes along with it to keep the battery charged.
Super easy to install and program. Worth every penny knowing that I could leave for a few days and the girls would stay safe.

Thank you. No it was not a kit. I just looked at some of the awesome coops on this site and took what I loved from several of them and combined them into one. I made a rough sketch and handed it to my hubby and we built it as we went and made a few changes as we went. It actually turned out to be bigger than we originally planned for and I am so glad! This coop is easy to build so limited carpentry is ok. It is just a basic rectangle and the tongue and groove siding was very easy to work with.
