New to chickens and loving it!

I'm in central Maine and got my first batch of chickens in May. We have 4 RI Reds and had 4 white Leghorns. We lost one Leghorn last week. She choked on a slug.

But the others are doing well. We love our girls. They are much friendlier than I imagined. I've hit this site many times in my research of raising chickens. I'm happy to be a member!

Welcome from Massachusetts. I was sorry to hear about your loss. I have only had Rhode Island Reds and I love them to death. They are great chickens and I wish everyone had some! If I had to choose a different chicken to have, Leghorns would be my next pick. Enjoy yours, and best of luck.
