First let me just say, Where have chickens been all my life??? I love them! No one ever told me how fun and cool chickens are and I am so happy to have found it out now.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are our first chickens about 8 weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 6 chickens right now. We started with 4 but I loved them so much I went back and got 2 more.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 2 Gold Laced Wyandottes, 2 Barred Rocks, and 2 Buff Orpingtons

Any time I google any questions about my chicks, BYC has the best answers. I thought I should become a member.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I ride horses, garden, enjoy my backyard and try hard to keep up with me kids

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 9 years now. We have 2 boys 9 & 6. We have 2 dogs and a horse. We live in beautiful Bridgeport, CA. Our Boarder Collie Billie LOVES "her" chickens. She is gentle with them, guards them, and watches them all the time. Our Black Lab Trigger is scared of the chickens and avoids getting anywhere near them.
