Hi my husband and I are brand new to chickens. We have six, six week old chickens; 3 australorps, 2 buff Orpingtons, and one Rhode Island Red. We've just moved our chickens out of their brooder and into their coop. I may have a dilemma though, over the weekend we seem to have been adopted by a pair of guineas. I'm not sure who they belong to, but I suspect that they are permanently free ranging since none of my neighbors are claiming them. I have no problem with them being around, they're pretty friendly. My only concern is that today when my chickens were in their fenced in run the guineas where on the outside of the run trying to peck my chickens. Is this going to be a problem, right now the guineas are bigger than my chickens.

Hopefully your chicks learn to stay away from the fence. I haven't had guineas, I think they are ugly. When your chicks mature it shouldn't be as big of a problem.
