Hi everyone! I live in PA & I just got chicks for the first time last month! We got 6 chicks & a duck from tractor supply. We lost our duck (I found out I was allergic to chickens and had to put them out in the calf shack at the farm) but kept the duck in the house. Sadly, she passed a week later. I think it was from being lonely, but I did play with her every day. Our first batch of chicks were 3 silver laced wyandottes, and 2 white chickens and an amber sexlink. One of the silver laced wyandottes wasnt getting feathers like the rest and he passed away too 
. I just got an order from Ideal poultry last week of 2 silkies (one black and one white) and 2 ducks. They sent 11 extra chicks, and I gave 9 of them away. I have 2 left but I am not sure what they are. I think they are production reds. I also picked up an incubator & have 25 quail eggs coming in the mail soon.. We are in the process of building our new chicken coop now. I will post pics of that when its finished 
. We also have a micro pig & a pit bull. and a rescue red eared slider that I caught while fishing.
