We picked out 7, all different breeds, but based on cold hardiness and good temperaments. I have have to find my list...it wasn’t until after we placed the order that I realized there was a huge range in sizes. I hope that won’t be a problem.

If you put a cover (something that won't restrict air flow) over the brooder, that will help protect them from overly-curious dogs/cats and will also keep the chicks inside the brooder...they learn to flit out pretty early.
