These are probably all mixed breeds. I will try to get some better photos.

Thanks for any help!

I'd say the big white one is a polish/silkie. Maybe.
The big orange one looks like a buff silkie.

silkie cross, old english (maybe cross), barred rock, a leghorn or two, and the little black and white one could be a d'uccle. i can't tell what gender though....

Have fun with the new chicks!

In the First Picture: The Big White One is a White Silkie

In the Second Picture: The Two Black Chicks with white on their heads are Barred Rocks. The Yellow one with the black feathers on it's wing is a Light Sussex or Deleware. The yellow ones are White Rocks or White Leghorns or White Wyandottes, (there are a lot of white breeds.) The Two Chipmunk colored ones ( on the feeder and behind the feeder) are wellsummers (lay brown eggs) or brown leghorns (lay white eggs).

The Third Picture: The Gold one is a Buff Silkie . The one in the middle is a Mix Breed. The tiny little black one by the waterer is a barred rock.

I hope this Helps!!!

Thanks, everyone, for your replies!!

I took some more pics this evening, tried to get a little better.

1. Could this be a dominique? It (she??) is marked like the pics of 3 wk old dominiques I found on the 'net. She has (I think) a rose comb, which I think Australorps are supposed to have single combs. Or could it be a barred rock? she has a dark wash on the front of her legs but the rest of the legs are yellowish/orange.

2. Any thoughts on this cutie? He/she has some feathering on the legs.

3. This is the suspected silkie mix. Could it be a sultan? I saw a pic of one last night. S/he has black skin, black legs and I think a walnut comb. S/he (named Zsa Zsa) is obviously the oldest, as its all feathered out. Also the top of the pecking order, but rather nice to the little ones.

4. The other bird in with the white bird - I suspect this is a roo. The legs seem thicker than the others of the same age, and the comb seems bigger. Here's another pic:

Thanks for all your help! Now I just need to figure out the smilies. :-))

Not a Silkie, unless it's a mutt, which, either way doesn't matter because he's lovely. Middle not sure, RIR hatchery quality? And Bl. Australorp. Oops! Nevermind, saw your comment about the comb, you may be right!
