New to chickens - feed question

I give organic crumbled feed to my chickens with < 3 mg calcium. I give it in deep bowls where they cant throw the things they don’t like out. Often they dont eat all of it. After a few days I mix it with yoghurt, water and a little apple cider vinager. This way they it it all.

They get a few hands of grain mix (also bio) with corn and sunflower seeds in the evening at the side (about 25% of the feed). They love it to pick from the ground.

The Chickens also get some leftovers and fruit. And if they are confined to the run all day they get some clipped grasses too.

For Calcium they get oyster shells and crumbled egg shells. And small stones (grit) to grind the food (like grasses). Seperately.

The reason they get organic feed is because they put imported GMO corn 🌽 and soja from Brazil with much poison in the feed here. And I don’t like the idea that the rainforest is harvested for chicken feed.

So it sounds like I need to get an all flock feed or at least mix in some all flock feed into my current mix for the rooster.
Or stay with the brand you like and get the Non-Medicated Starter-Grower feed.
Poultry Grit should be provided when feeding a whole grain feed.

I feed a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower feed 18% to my Hens, with a separate container of Oyster Shells.

If you free range, most Roosters would be taken by a Predator before visceral gout from eating a Layer feed, at least where I live. "IMO" GC

If you got Henhouse Reserve, then I assume your store carries Kalmbach Feed & that is a great choice. Kalmbach offers an All Flock feed at 20% in crumbles & pellets, don't know if your store carries it. They also have 17% layer feed if you decide to go that way. I picked up a bag of Henhouse Reserve & feed it as a supplement every day in the run, just 2 cups. I like it because the vitamins & such are pellets & not powder. They clean up every bit. A bit pricey so they have Kalmbach pellets in the coop! YMMV
