New to chickens from San Diego

Hello! I'm Dawn

I am completely new to chickens! We just bought a house and it came with a chicken coop and 2 chickens.

Unfortunately I have no idea what breed they are. We also don't know their ages, only that they are likely a little "older."

I’m really excited to have chickens and want to learn as much as possible so we can take the best care of them.

We went to a local feed store and told them we were new owners and they suggested this group, so here I am.

Welcome, definitely some striking colors there and I love that coop set-up. Are you hoping to hatch for more or expand on breeds? Personally I've been aiming to get more egg colors. I'm hoping for an olive egger next year...depending on if my Black Maran does turn out to be a boy.

And you have roost space for a few more.
Nevertheless I advise you to read (or ask) a lot before you dive into expanding to avoid some major mistakes.
