(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, but getting some soon!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I will be getting 2-3 hens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I will be getting a bantam breed.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Small space required, small eggs, and nice pets.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I raise Society Finches and Bourke's Parakeets. I love fishing, kayaking, and movies.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I are Christians and patriots. We live in the Pacific Northwest and both work in the construction industry. We've been married for 24 years. We have 3 grown children, 2 grandkids, 2 Chihuahuas, 1 Chiweenie, 4 Bourke's Parakeets and about 20 Society Finches.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found this site when searching for information on bantam chickens. I joined to benefit from the experience and knowledge of others with bantams.
