New to chickens - have question about laying

Hi! I'm a long-time reader, first-time poster. I have two beautiful Australorp crosses that I have raised from 2-days old. They are now 22 weeks and they layed their first eggs just over a week ago. They haven't layed any more since then and I'm wonering if this is normal?? Thanks!

Also, one girl has a chipped beak. Will it grow back or is there anything I should do?

they should be fine, and yes. the beak will most definately grow back. shouldnt be anything to be too worried about.
