Hi everyone.

I am a total beginner where chickens are concerned. I have always lived in the countryside (Northamptonshire, England) and have always had dogs and horses but three weeks ago I rescued four battery hens. They are all emaciated and have very few, if any feathers. All were very traumatised but now seem to be very happy hens. They have a 2/3 acre to roam in when I am at home and if I'm out they have a very large coop. Every day is a pleasure to spend with them and I look forward to making many more happy memories with them

from South Carolina! This is a great place to meet people and learn about keeping chickens. I started with 5 and in less than a year I have 21, and we just had 8 chicks hatch this week! I LOVE chicken math! I have been having so much fun I even started a chicken blog!
Everyone here LOVES pictures, and remember there are no dumb questions! I look forward to hearing more about your flock as it grows!
