New to chickens...I have lots of questions!

LOl...those polish are adorable! My kids would love having one!
I may have increase my list since I'm getting advice on so many great varieties. Maybe 8 wouldn't be tooo many..lol
The kids and I are going to love having a "rainbow" of chickens.

Honestly anywhere between 5-10 chickens is a normal size flock to start out with. Not to little....not to big.

First of all, Welcome!! You have come to the right place! Everyone here has been a great help to me. Second... Thats what happened to me! We were only going to get a few chicks, and ended up with 5 different breeds and 12 chickens total!! There are only 3 of us but we have family that would take extra eggs. I am really enjoying them and I am sure you and your kids will too.
