New to chickens in BC

Hi Speckly chicken! I am from BC (Salmon Arm) and am new to this group as well. We've decided on White Chanteclers, Black Jersey Giants and the jury is still out on the layers - leaning towards Wyandottes. Looking forward to hearing how things go for you.

Welcome! It's great to meet other "locals" from BC! What kind of Wyandottes are you thinking of? I had a lead on some gold laced Wyandottes earlier this spring but I just won't be able to accommodate more than the 16 chicks I'm already expecting. But they are all so beautiful... Are your Chanteclers for eating? That's encouraging as we will be harvesting all our roosters and I hadn't heard much about the Chanteclers as a table chicken. When do your chicks arrive?
