Hello Everyone!
My name is Hilary and I just got my first 2 chicks! I have wanted chickens for a long time but up until 2 weeks ago it was not allowed by the zoning on my property. I had put off persuing chicken ownership because it was going to involve begging for a zoning variance and I have been busy with the birth of my first child. Lucky me our wonderful County Commisioners decided to change the zoning and allow residential lots up to 6 hens. I have been lurking this site for the past 2 weeks and now that I have some chicks I have decided that it is time to join.
I am a Veterinary Technician and I have worked professionally with birds for over 10 years. I look forward to learning from all of you experienced chicken owners and perhaps I can help a bit with some of the medical questions.
