Hello! I'm the proud keeper of a small flock of 3 BRs, 3 BOs, and 1 Porcelain D'uccle roo. The hens are hatchery stock from the local feed store, purchased as pets early this spring (2014) and raised in my dining room. The bantam roo was a surprise birthday gift from my sister to my 11 yo son. I'm new to chicken keeping but doing my best to give them a happy and healthy life. I guess they are pleased with my efforts as they seem to be doing their best to give me plenty of fresh eggs. I'm looking forward to having these forums as a source of guidance and my ladies, their gentleman, and I thank you in advance.

I love D'uccles, one of my favorite breeds. I have to say that is a very awesome present to get a chicken.
