new to chickens in VA

Hi all,

I've just started to raise chickens. So far it's been facinating. I plan on raising them for wonderful home grown eggs, for a source of healthy meat, and for enjoyment. I raise buffalo on a lovely farm in VA and am trying to become more self sufficient when it comes to the foods we eat. I look forward to learning from all you experts.

We are near Brookneal, VA. We've been raising buffalo since the late 90's. I moved to the farm in 2001. I'm the 4th generation to be blessed with it. After being raised in the city, I'm in heaven
