You could put them on the roost after they are sleepy after dark or you can just let them start using the roost when their ready. Once 1 starts sleeping on the roost it doesn't take long till their all up there, either way they will be fine in the floor for now. If they didn't have a roost where they came from it may take a while for them to get the idea so your help could speed the process up.
