I got six chicks at Easter, 4 are Rhode Island Reds (pullets) and 2 silkie that were supposed to be pullets but are acting both like males. The silkies are bigger than the reds and have started to mount the reds. most of the time they corner one and line up sometime both at the same time. They have not started laying yet. How long will they do this. They are free range some time I try to lock the boys in. Help!

They will always (in my experience) Mount the girls, its their job. How frequent or rough they are depends on the rooster. And do you need help sexing your roosters to be positive? Or are you sure?
