Hi there,
My name is Charlotte and I'm new to chickens. I have 10 chickens at this time. I started out getting a couple of bunnies and mytonic goats for my granddaughters, then moved into the chickens. I love them...lol.
I have 2 barred rocks, 2 orps, a brahma, all at about 16-18 weeks. I also have a silver tophat, and a rir that are 12 weeks and 2 black laced wyandottes and a jg that are 3 weeks. I ctually got started with backyard chicken thru my pet chicken. My jg started displaying some unsettling behavior on Friday. I immediately started looking for info online, found the description of crazy chick disease and knew that's what it was. Today, first thing I called my pet chicken who told me that y'all would probably be my best help. I've read a few threads about this without joining, but decided today, that I really needed y'alls help. I hope I can save my chick, but if not, I want to know that I tried all I can.
So that's why I joined, even though I have been on the site a few times just learning about chickens before this.
I hope to become a well informed chicken owner, who is responsible with my animals.
