Hello all, my name is Tess I reside in Weeki Wachee Fl. and just started backyard chickens, I have 4 white leghorns and 4 buff orpingtons ( spelling could be wrong) it seems like one day they were chicks and now they are getting big and there feet and legs are very thick lol. two of the buffs seem small still but I purchased them at rural king and Im not sure of their age. I think one of the leghorns may be a rooster, I sure hope so

Welcome to BYC Broody with chicks.jpeg

Are you sure they did not sell you Cornish X meat chickens? Leghorns do not normally get bigger than orpingtons

hmmm they are out growing the ops, I'll learn how to post pics but they were sold as white leghorns. one has no tail feathers and a belly without feathers and the wings look like they aren't growing but when I picked it up to examine the body it extended its wing and it was normal but looks like no wing feathers when they are closed
