Hi, new to raising chickens. We've been raising doves for a few years now.
Chickens are different. We purchased chicks in April. The girls are growing fast. We did unintentionally end up with a rooster. He's great though. We have a mixed group.

Welcome to BYC. Please check out the "forums" at top of page - you will find one for doves/pigeons. We have BYC members who also have pigeons or had them in the past and know quite a bit about them.

We kind of got carried away. We have 3 silver lace wyandottes, 1 olive egger, 1 Rhode island red, 1 silkie, 1sex link, 1 buff orpington, 2 americanas, 1 lemon colored Orpington (now more white), 1 australop (This turned out to be a roo), and of course our mystery chicken. We did also have a coco Moran who sadly died unexpectedly as a chick. And we recently lost a black silkie to a predator.
