new to chickens

we have 2 sapphire gems, 2 mystic onyx, and 2 buff orpingtons. i came on here to see if i can get an answer to a question on the sex of the sapphire gems. it seems nobody else i have asked about them knows the answer cause they've never heard of this breed.

Welcome to BYC. Sorry I have never heard of sapphire gem either. Generally a hatchery, will come up with a special name for some cross (breeding) they have accomplished. Unless that results in very popular ofspring - the outside Chicken world may have no idea what they are like.

You may try posting photos of your chicks to see if anyone recognizes them.
