New to chickens

Hello everyone, I'm Zarhya, I just joined this great community today and I had a question, I'm getting 2 satin chicks today, and I don't really understand the differences between the satin chicks and the silkies. Anyways, that's all thanks for reading!

Hello, Zarhya, and welcome to BYC. Silkies are a silky feathered breed. Satins are hard feathered crossbreds developed by breeding silkies with hard feathered birds - frequently Cochins are used.
