New to Chickens

[Idaho Chicken Bungalow]

Our back yard has a 6 foot fence. What will stop the chickens from flying over the fence if their wings aren’t clipped?

I had a Hamburg who flew to the top of my 6-foot fence. I googled how to do it (only on one side) and it worked. The need? ... the two dogs on the other side of the fence.

I only clip if someone is beinf naughty like the chicken (I don't know its breed) that was hopping over the six foot fence to lay eggs in the neighbors yard. My chickens are in runs with netting over the top but that run didn't have netting yet so I did that and clipped one wing in case the thought occurred to her while she is out in the yard which happens a couple times a week. So far so good but she is only the third chicken whose wings I have clipped. Like I said though I only do one because it seems to offset their balance and make them disinclined to go wandering.
