Do you plan to purchase sexed silkies? If purchasing straight run, you'll need to be prepared for some of them to be cockerels.

i have a local feed store that will be able to get me sexed pullets with a health guarantee. i also checked with my local bird specialty store to make sure i was buying from the right people!
