Hello all,
Today is a big day for my family and I. My kids finally got their chickens. They are only a few days old. Forgive me if I don't know much about the breeds, but I do know they are the ones that lay colored eggs (the guy at the store told me they are sometimes called easter egg chickens). So far, we have built a box for them to stay in until they are ready to go in the coop. I have drawn out my plans for the coop my wife wants me to build. I plan on getting that done in the next few weeks.
This is very exciting. At first, I was pretty hesitant to do this, but as the kids kept asking I started to become more excited about doing this.
I just wanted to stop in to this forum and let you all know that I will be leaning on you for support as I get used to this new part of our lives. I am excited to see my kids working and playing with these cute little fellers.
