We bought our first chickens this weekend, ages 6 weeks to 3 months, 3 each silkies, rhode island reds, and orpingtons. They settle down when we hold them, fun to watch in the chicken yard together and are learning to use the ramp to get in and out of the henhouse. They eat more than I expected and pick bugs right out of the air to eat. There was a chase after a worm that was a wild surprise for us! Our daschund and schnoodle were fascinated with them...
