New to chickens

I got some chickens because my 4 year old wanted some and I wanted the fresh eggs. I got 4 mutt chickens from a man at work on truned out to be a rooster. I got 4 Rhode Island Red chickens from a breeder. I got them all around April and this is my first time ever dealing with chickens other then KFC or Perdue so I need all the help I can get.
