New to chickens

I am new to raising chickens. My boyfriend has introduced me to his flock and I have befriended his so-called mean roosters...lol. I am looking forward to my first batch of chicks due this weekend ...they will be housed in an extra bedroom for the first couple of weeks due to the horribly cold weather here. I am looking forward to using my new found knowledge found at BYC to raise these little ones.

Received 2 lovely little chicks from first hatching....my gf had probs w humidity so another batch in hopefully w better luck. A beautiful little bantie and an americauna. My bf cheered me up on Sunday by buying me 6 little banties at tsc to start out so have a little group of 8 to nurture. Also...my gf gave me a pair of feather footed banties...a lacy little black banty rooster and another cute rooster to add to my flock. the eggs due to hatch are mainly americaunas but will have some surprises. Thank you for the welcomes and I am sure I will have questions eventually. Hopefully have pics to post soon.

Sorry you only got 2 from the hatch. But these things happen and you learn from each hatch.
