Hey Everybody!!

So I guess I have officially gotten into the world of chickens. My wife and I went out today with the kids and picked up 5 chickes. 3 Barred Rocks and 2 Araucanas. They are 4 weeks old and cute. We decided to use our dogs large kennel for the brooder for now which I think works perfectly. I guess I have a few weeks to get a coop built.

I have read many of the articles on this site and figured since I actually got some chickens it was about time to become a member. I am looking forward to reading the posts and sharing our new family members with the community here. I welcome any advice that can be given.

Hi Bryan, welcome to the flock. The Learning Center above, is a great place to start chickens 101, then I would recommend you check out the coops section, and also "Raising Backyard Poultry. If you need any help, someone is usually here 24/7.
