new to chickens

Almost done with the coop and not going to buy chicks just yet not quite familiar enough with chickens to go out and buy chicks. I'm wanting to buy layers that are already laying and lay the large Brown eggs just any larger egg for I have a big family I'm feeding. Opinions on which breed to choose would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Red stars and RIR are good choices. Barred rocks don't lay eggs quite as big but they're consistent.
