New to chicks - Son (3yrs old) getting 2 next week

My son is getting baby chickens next week. We are raising them with my ducklings. We are getting parthridge rock chicks. What can everyone tell me about them.

When we were at the farm picking out our ducks that we wanted the man gave my son 2 eggs and told him there are baby chickens inside so we are going to swap eggs for baby chicks in about a week.

I know they won't be hard but any information about the breed will be great.

My Partridge Rocks (from McMurray's) are my most beautiful hens - they have that lustrous beetle-sheen blue/black pencilling on a pretty bay background, medium size, compact birds, reasonably good layers. They are not the friendliest of my hens - I'd say my Cochins and Buff Orpingtons are the friendliest. But if you're only going to have the 3, I think they will probably be more inclined to socialize with you humans. Sounds like fun!
