Hello everyone.
I've been lurking on these boards for months...finally set up an account.
I have six chicks I bought from tractor supply on sale for 75c each, bantams straight run(I think four are Cochins and the other two I have no idea). The sales associate helped me attempt to
Feather sex them, though they were already a week old. Soooo, now that they are 5 weeks old, I think almost all of them are cockrels. :(
They're our pets, they're all named and well loved and cute as a button....but maybe boys. We have a backyard in the suburbs and our limit is 6 chickens or 12 chicks.
They just moved out from the house to their coop a week ago and they seem to love it!
Anyway I'll stop rambling.

Hi and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. I'd say that you have at least 3 little fellas. If you can post individual pics on this thread, the experts should be able to help you out - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

BTW - Feather sexing only works for those specifically bred to exhibit a difference at hatch.

More generally, you'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

All the best

Welcome & Congratulations; they are adorable!

Three little ones that I can see clearly I am leaning towards little roosters also but as Ken suggested, individual pics on the Breed & Gender Forum will get you some more opinions.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Hi there and
welcome-byc.gif
! We're glad you could join the flock!

Darn, hopefully they can turn out pullets! I looked at your pictures, and it seems at least two of them are indeed cockerels (the white and black one at the back of the first picture, and possibly the red one next to the white one).

Those little birds sure are cuties. Hopefully you can find as much awesome content and fun as we have here on BYC!
