Q1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Melissa: I've had chickens all my life, either personally or family owned.
Q2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Melissa: 12
Q3) What breeds do you have?
Melissa: I have 11 Black Breese and 1 Jersey Giant
Q4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Melissa: I enjoy watching chickens, theyre so relaxingly amusing. We use the eggs and meat to feed our family.
Q5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Melissa: I love deer hunting, camping, swimming, family time, crafting, crocheting, cooking, taking pictures, watching crime shows..
Q6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Melissa: My husband and I have been married 32yrs tomorrow, October 30. We have 3 boys ages 30, 26 & 12. A grandson age 5. I have worked a bit over the years but never persued a career. My husband is old school and wants to be the man who takes care of his family. The jobs I've had was things I wanted to try to make extra cash.

Melissa: Google, joined for discussion and experienced knowledge of chickens.
