I have 20 x 3 week meat birds. I read online that they should be 2 lbs already, I don’t have a scale.

My husband is concerned they won’t be ready by week 8.

so I’m looking for some feedback if they look age appropriate!

They are still indoors because we are getting down to 0 at night :(

We are feeding them during the day and letting feeders rest n empty over night

Give them all they want during the day and slowly start leaving the feed in evening/overnight. These are the messiest chickens you'll ever encounter. I like to house them in a easily moveable shelter out on pasture and move them twice a day(careful when it gets hot) to new grass.

This is my Cornish X at seven weeks. He is with his sisters Henrietta and Blanche. They are a bantam and a Isa Brown, the size difference is crazy. I only give my birds food in the daytime from week four and moved them to the coop and yard at week five. The X is getting processed this week.....maybe...I have never done it before so I am stalling. Now he has a brother at my neighbors that is much much smaller.
