Hi!
My family and I live in Alaska and are starting to raise quail. Currently we have 7 1-week old quail that we successfully incubated. We are in the process on building a hutch and plan to keep them indoors in a spare room. We have a dog with a high prey drive and there are also lot of potential predators (bears, lynx, owls, etc) that live nearby, so keeping them indoors is probably our best option. Some may eventually live at my daughter's Dad's house outside. We are putting 18 more eggs in the our incubator tomorrow.
Searching this community has been super helpful in answering most of the questions I have regarding quail.
